Post here your pics and experiences with a 6.2 Dually.
Out of all the 2017 dually trucks I've looked at in person, literally dozens in three different states, I only discovered one being gas powered at a Las Vegas dealer. Must be really rare? Resale may be a factor here?
The towing capacity would be much greater with a diesel. A higher payload for gas. Judging by the dealer inventory, I'd venture to say most are utilizing its towing capability.
The 2017 6.2 gas engine is a good engine with sufficient power and even more torque--at a lower RPM, than previous years.
In dually configuration ($1485 option), the gas tank is 48-gallons. Plenty of capacity to be able to travel quite a distance between stops for gas. It's also E85 capable. Around my parts, there is $.70/gallon difference in price. That's 41% more for E10.
With very good capability with the gas engine for many application, except heavy towing, a gas powered dually may become more commonplace.
I run a 2017 F350 6.2L and love it. I haul our domestic water, 500 gallons (2.1 tons) at a time, and our slide-in camper, and the truck handles it like a dream. Fuel mileage during the winter months here is a bit lower than I'd wanted but I didn't want to mess with a diesel at -40 temps. I also do a lot of winter camping, fishing, and hunting, and need my rig to be able to start up at those temps w/o having been plugged in or otherwise heated up.
All depends on what you wanna do but I agree with Sorrentino100 that gasser dualies will become a lot more commonplace. Especially with Germany and the EU moving forward with banning diesel.
