Dos anyone know what the (adjustment bolt?) thing is on top of the gear box?
You answered your own question yes it's for adjustments.
Look in your manual for how to adjust it.
This is for the pre loading the bearing play.
This screw can be adjusted to take out a small amount of play in the steering shaft.
But if done wrong it can cause the vehicle to have hard steering and the wheel not returning to center after making a turn. So be careful when messing with this adjustment screw.
