Like Toreador, I too found out yesterday. Such a shame and such a loss. Ron likely never knew how many he helped through his work and what technology allowed.

We never know when our own numbers are up. Our good Lord has a plan - we seldom learn on this side what it is.

Go love on your kids, people, and wear your seat belt. Life is short. Every day is a gift.

RIP Ron.

"He who endures to the end will be saved" (Matt. 24:13)

Another great one gone. Rest in Peace Ron. I hope your videos stay out there and continue to help those in need. Saved my butt on many occasions.

I would still be paying a shop to fix things over and over if it wasn't for Ron. You will be missed. Rest in Peace.

Well, crap.

I think it's safe to say he taught all of us something at one time or another. Many belated thanks to Ron and whoever may have helped filming, editing, and posting his many videos. All that work is a good and honorable legacy that speaks to what kind of guy he was.

Sincere condolences to Ron's family and many friends.

Sorry to hear this. He helped me through a couple different repairs that I would never have attempted without his videos.

Someone who you could just tell from watching his videos was a standup guy.

RIP

Oh my.....

Never corresponded with the man but I truly respected him for his calm factual demeanor, his amazing knowledge, his ability to turn a wrench and his selfless willingness to share information that truly helped a huge number of us 6.0 owners.

Thank you Ron, you will be missed.

Condolences to his family. A tragic loss for you. I'm sorry.

WHAT!?

Shocking news to say the least.

To Ron's family,
I am so sorry for your loss.
Ron had such a gift that he shared with us all that he did not have to share with anyone, however his character knew he could assist others in his field of work. Out of his busy day he took the time to develop videos that we all have come to glean from his valuable skills. I learned a lot from Ron not only mechanical knowledge sharing his seasoned mechanical ability but to hear it from and with an authentic willingness to help those like us here on FTE and in our garages, to learn and experience these skills from a genuine, humble man who had all the right stuff, and with his videos it is my hope that his legacy that I know will remain with us.

We have all lost something of great value here, a husband, a father, a son, and a friend. I count myself lucky to have made his acquaintance through his videos.
May God's Grace be upon him and his family.

Deepest condolences to his friends and family.

I always considered him the 6.0 Savant. His wealth of knowledge and willingness to share helped me immensely, and I will remain grateful for his generosity.

Dang I saw the title and was excited thinking it was another awesome video he just uploaded. I can't believe it, that is so terrible!!

Rons videos and this site were HUGE reasons why I gained the confidence to buy a 6.0.

You could tell by his videos Ron was def one of those totally selfless guys that just loved to help. None of his stuff seemed biased or put on. He will be truly missed.
