Help with TSB #CSP-14N02

Hi all,

Long time lurker here. I have a 2012 F250 6.2 gasser, and I took it in for an oil change. The place checked on TSBs for me, but wasn't authorized to fix them.

This is what they told me (from an Oasis ?? report)

NHTSA Reference #10056711
TSB Reference #CSP-14N02

Description: EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERAGE FOR PCM REPROGRAMMING IN THE EVENT OF ABS SPEED SIGNAL RELATED COMMUNICATION LOSS THAT DISABLE OBDII SYSTEM MONITORS

I checked around the web and couldn't really find any more details. Before I go to my dealer, does anyone have any more info on what exactly this means, and what risk I have by not fixing it?

I've had the truck for 4 years (and am very happy with it). But I'm just wondering how worried I should be about it.

Thanks,
Doug

All they're saying is that IF you have a problem with your ABS that disables the OBDII system monitors they (Ford) are extending the warranty to cover the cost of having your PCM reprogrammed.
It doesn't sound like you are having a problem with your ABS so this TSB would not apply, but is something to keep in your back pocket if you ever should have a problem.

OK, thanks for the response. I'll definitely have them look at it, but probably not a huge rush. A local place did the oil change (semi-synth), tire rotation, and a bunch of maintenance checks for $52 out the door, which is less than my dealer would do. Plus the dealer is further away.

Anyways, I appreciate it.

Thanks,
Doug
