My ’05 F350 6.0 is having intermittent problems with the ABS and electronic A/C systems. The ABS light came on and stayed on for an hour of driving. Restarted it, it was still on. Made a dealer appointment and on the way there it goes off. (40 min trip to dealer). The dealer says if it’s not on they can’t fix it cause it doesn’t set any codes. Is this true? They say 'the sytem checks out fine'.
It has another intermittent problem with the electronic A/C control. It goes out intermittently, just dead. Never for more than a few hours, sometimes just for 10 min. Again dealer won’t do anything cause they can’t duplicate the problem. I’m suppose to go pick it up now, been in Ford’s shop a week waiting to get looked at and now nothing accomplished. I’m still in the warranty period. Anything I can do to get Ford to do more? I’m tired of making trips to the dealer that accomplish nothing. Any advise appreciated.
They need to change the control head for the auto heat control.Ford knows they have a problem mine was working again by the time I got to the dealer. The service manager called the Ford engineers & they said to change the control head,if your dealer will not fix it call Ford yourself.
