I want to improve the appearance of my truck and I am interested in the following headlights. In the description it says the following:
Technical Tips: For Cars That Do Not Have Daytime Running Light ( DRL ) Function: The Lights / HALO / LED Part Can Serve As / Give Out Daytime Running Light ( DRL ) As Extra Functions But In Order For It to Work, You Might Need Modifications To The Wirings And Plugs. Additional Wirings & Plugs For Daytime Running Light ( DRL ) Function Will Not Be Provided.
Is there someone here that might know what kind of modifications I might need? It says no manual is included. Here's the url:
Is your truck an XL version with the GLASS sealed beam headlights now?
If so, you might want to ask who else has done the swap to the plastic housings with bulbs in them.
That said, IMO what you're looking at is pure ricer, not becoming to trucks like ours.
If I might make a suggestion just get a decent set of (aftermarket)?? or OEM '02-'04 headlights and the matching "clear" corners, much better look, MUCH better light output than stock '00 plastic housings...

Let us know what you've got now.....
I didn't see this response until this afternoon. I ordered new headlights and new a new grill today so I guess I'll see how they look. They said they will provide support and they are a OE replacement. Below are the parts I ordered and also a picture of my current headlight. I agree that they might not look right but sometimes it's hard to tell unless you "try it on". The rims will make a big difference I think.
Gotcha, No problem, the ones you ordered may work for you.......
They absolutely WILL fit your truck and be a direct replacement.
Looks like they have some LEDs as accents around the edges.......these must be wired to your parking lights I believe-A friend installed this type in a '99 F150 and they looked so ricer (sorry) and the LEDs stopped working within a month......
The grill is good, I had one on MY '99 F350 before I did the complete front facelift to full '07 specs......
Please post pictures when you've got the new lights and grille installed......
just wire the LEDs to your parking lights, although they will look off on a big ford truck. Thats just my opinion though, and you know what people say about opinions . . .

What other parts can I use to modernize looks? I was going to post a before and after, after some upgrades but here is the before now (the picture is with the grill off and the hood open).
Uh, may be a new front bumper? '08 up mirrors? How about the simulators??
definitly simulators, that and new tires will make it look a lot better. I've never see '08 mirrors? Can you link to some '08 mirrors?. I'm planning a new bumper too, soon.
Please note IF your current mirrors are POWER there is an adaptor harness that will plug in JUST the power for the mirrors, IF you want the clearance lights and signals to work you'll have to wire them.
Lots of nay-sayers on aftermarket mirrors, some are good, some good, some bad, There are also MANUAL versions available.
I put OEM (take-offs) ('14) on MY L99 F350, I hooked up the clearance lights, signals, and have the rough wiring done for the heat which I'll do later....
Do some investigation for yourself before purchase.
Like to see the pictures when your done. Is that grill billet? I'd like to do that on my 99 CC.
I will! If you mean the picture I posted, that's the radiator. I had taken the grill off (orig I was going to paint it but decided the end result wasn't what I was looking for).
No the link you supplied to where you were buying your grill and lights.
I understand the billet grilles to be with horizontal lines. The salesman said it was not that type of grille it has a honeycomb pattern (which I think I'll prefer).
