Hooking them up to a battery sounds like fun, did you spray them with a variety of flammables for thrills and excitement?

Buying used injectors

I just bought a set of used injectors. The only have 80,000km on them and oiled and kept in bags. The thing is they haven't been run in a couple years. Am I in trouble with these injectors? Anything I should do before install?

If it were me I would inspect the nozzles for coking and make sure there isn't any scoring on the bore above the nozzle otherwise they won't be able to seal. Replace all of the seals and make sure there aren't any copper washers left in the heads. Other than that... You could do a buzz test on them to make sure the solenoids works. You cant fully test them without a flow bench or installing them to see how they run.

Sounds good. The injectors look in good condition and have no obvious sign of wear. I will buzz rest them once I install. Do you think the plunger could seize from sitting so long?

Anything is possible, but I am sure there was residual oil in them when they were packed by the original owner. I would install them and run the buzz test like Otto said, then go from there.

If you trust who you are getting them from, you should be good.

May be worth sending them in and have them flow tested on the bench. Couple hundred bucks could save you a lot of headaches down the road.
