Do you guys fill up the filter and then put in 7qts cause I've done three oil changes so far and every time I do that, I'm over the top line?

I typically do that, adding between 7.3 and 7.5 quarts. It puts my level right at the top line.

Also I should note that usually I am doing something else to the truck simply because I like working on it (speaker upgrade, vacuum lines, TB cleaning, you name it) while it drips so it is maybe dripping for at least 30-45 min. sometimes 1.5 hr.

On my truck...2016.
If i fill the filter and add 7qts..so 7.5 qts. It is to the top of the hash marks on the dipstick. Slightly below the the upper hole.

Just did my first oil change on my "new" to me 2016 F250 and had a similar experience to others. It took me 7.5 quarts to get to full. I also noticed that it took a couple seconds to make oil pressure on an empty filter when I started it up. I think I'm going to prefill the oil filter in the future because the FL-820s does have a substantial volume though it is not in diesel territory.
