The truck is almost done, paint the hood next week, new shocks and bumper are on the way. 400 .020 over TMI pistons, changed to Tim's oiling system carries 60lbs at idle.
That's super close to what my son's truck looks like, but his is a 78. We're rebuilding a 400 - on the cheap, for it now. His isn't nearly as nice as yours though! Great looking rig!
THANKS Guy's, im happy so far and so is my nephew that will inherit the truck some day, he has helped a lot and learned even more by helping. The 60lbs is idling at 180*, im glad some one seen the radiator tanks, i cleaned and polished them then sprayed clear coat over them. THANKS Again every one.
Looks awesome! Got the same Ford racing valve covers on mine. Looks like you're running one of the Summit HEI distributors - I'm wanting to do the same on mine; would you recommend it?

Are you running a high pressure pump? because I just put my 400 together, new crank and installed the t-meyer special cam bearings and performed the oil mod to the front main as t-meyer stated and mine at 180 has 25-30 psi and about 60 at 2500
