Part Identification/Info

What exactly is this thing that's connected to the smog pump? Some kind of air filter? I need to free up some space around my batteries for a low voltage disconnect and a battery isolater; wondering if I can just remove this thing and put some valve cover filters or something on the end of the 2 rubber tubes feeding it. My air pump is currently still in use, but I'll probably replace it with an on-board air compressor someday since I've read the smog pump makes no real difference on emissions anyway.

Massey try retaking or reposting the pictures , on the air pump there is valves associated (inline) that run from the pump to the air injection lines. Since I have mine out I can look at it and give you the Ford numbers .Good luck TR
