shifter for 87 5speed
does anyone know if hurst made a shifter for this tranny? i have been told its a mazda trans it has 14 bolt pan w/ 4 bolts holding the shifter - not 3 like the 88 up. this the 4th shifter for this truck since new. i would like to try something after market, maybe a little stronger.

This TRS tech article has some good information to help pinpoint what transmission you have. Once known you might be able to do a google search for an aftermarket shifter... You could also check with LMC Truck or Jeff's Bronco Graveyard. Not sure who you've tried already. Hope you get it sorted out.
