There is no such thing as a short throw shifter. If you shorten the handle it will shorten the shifter handle travel. You do not shorten the part that comes out of the trans.
Even a mustang shifter handle is shorter to give you a shorter throw. I had a short throw shifter handle for my t-5 and thats all it was. Shorter than the stock shifter and this shifter was just the handle only. It used the stock shfter base.
