i need new ideas

so my 1997 with 144K auto will stall out on me.
its been going on for some time.
so far on this site the advice ive received was to...
1. change the CPS (complete)
2. unplug the fuel bowl heater (complete)
3. ignition swithched out (complete)
**the issue still exist**
Well maintained truck drives down the road and just shuts off.
All but one time she will start rite back up.
Since this issue has started it kinda has a hard time starting.
It will start but it has to crank over a bit more than normal.
so my question what else would cause it to just shut off?
ty
what are your thoughts on IPR or IPC?

My 96 C&C truck started to randomly die. Sometimes it would start right back up, and other times it would have to set for 5-10 minutes. But it would have the code for pressure above or below required amount. Turns out the tin nut and spacer on the IPR were missing. Replaced IPR with a known good one and all returned to normal for6 months, then the problem comes back. This time it was replaced with a new one, and all has been good for a year or so.

I was starting to lean that way...
Thanks for the input.
So why does it only happen from time to time and not die every block down the road? Again if its the IPR?
Also can it be changed without removing the fuel bowl?

I have no idea on the randomness. When I changed mine, I removed the fuel regulator . It was doable, but not a piece of cake. But my hands are rather large. You might want to see if there is a code, if you have a code reader.

Pull the e-brake pedal and look at the back of the people. If it has one you'll see it sticking out.

Remove the keys.
Disconnect the batteries
Pull chip

Classic CPS symptoms, at least on my truck it was. Was the CPS you replaced from Ford or International only? Or maybe the chip, if installed.

Ford part from parts store or Ford part from Ford dealership, big difference. Latest and greatest one is dark gray in color with a purple o-ring.
