Is there a particular reason you swapped the positions of the speedo and gauges?
Joe , not much stock on this beast . Speed is a thing of the past for me . Been there - done that . A straight ahead view to keep tabs on engine performance is OK w/ me . Am looking forward to taking both to a show .
don't know the proper term for it, but the fresh air tube from the front to the cab -- is that an aftermarket piece or just the original cleaned up and painted? can't tell for sure in your pic, almost looks plastic?
thanks.
P.S. -- any tips for "internal" rehab for the magic air heater?
The fresh air tube is the original media blasted , epoxy primed & painted . Have boxes full of all yrs. of fresh air tubes & any other Magic Air heater , FORD script fresh air heater & standard box type heaters if needed . Have restored cores in stock also . As fro any other tips on internal parts make sure the ground from the motor to the heater case is clean . Motor is in good running condition . Have over 30 of them here 6V . Have a reliable source for 12V motors at a fair price . Make sure the core is clean & pressure tested @ 7 lbs. Make sure the short case screws are used to attach the rear case to the mid case . Record/ measure the distance the fan protrudes from the motor shaft .Have '51 & '52 heater boots here if needed .Nay questions call 772-337-6393 Thanks Denny a.k.a. The Magic Air Heater King on FTE
