Quick question

I have a 2001 f250 5.4 that when you turn the heat on the trucks motor and exhaust bog down for a few seconds then comes right back up anybody had this type of issue with there trucks?

Sounds like it is the AC compressor engaging then cycling off.

I'd bet this too. If it's happening when you're turning heat on with defrost than that's to be expected as the AC runs with defrost to remove humidity.

Ok thanks... does that mean its bad then? is that why my ac dosent get cold enough to run it?

like frantz said if you are turning the heat to defrost the ac compressor will kick on and same with the heat I have had a couple rangers and when I would turn the heat on the ac compressor would kick in to balance the heat depending on where you have the temp selector. no it doesn't mean its bad it means everything is working. if the ac is not cold then you could have a dirty filter or low Freon in the ac system or a bad compressor
