I think the last ECM was about 1984.
ECM = Emission Control Module used with the Ford Dura-Spark III ignition system.
Then we had the EEC computer with the EEC-IV ignition system until 1993 when Ford had to change the name of most of the parts to the standard SAE names.
Ford component names were changed to conform to Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) directive J1930.
So in 1993 it was the PCM computer.
EEC: Electronic Engine Control. A computer controlled system of engine control.
Powertrain Control Module (PCM): The module that controls the EEC system.

ECM, PCM, ECU, EEC, it's all the same. It's no use being that pedantic over what it's called.
@GuitarJesus: The ABS computer is separate from the main engine/transmission PCM. If the light just starts blinking by itself (as in, you don't under diagnostics mode), it generally means the ABS module is failing, or the ABS module has an intermittent power fault (ground or power), or there is a blown fuse somewhere.

yeah that'll be a bad abs module, i had the same problem with my 95 i unplugged mine for a bit then the ol started poppin fuses 3&12 (i think) one of em controlled my brake lights and trailer light the other has something to do with my dash lights, id like to say the abs module is tied to one of em but then again my rabs started doing the 15 flash before my fuses blew so idk what was goin on there...
