My '71 has red interior so I gotta stick with finding a red bug guard Wish someone would make these again, I grew up in the 80's when all of the local guys including my dad had their trucks name painted on them...keep me in mind if anyone comes across a old style red one!
That's what I was going to say! Bending some smoked or colored lexan with a couple of strips of aluminum with a handful of aluminum brackets shouldn't be that hard... might be a bit time consuming though.

You could make one. But you can also find one and paint it red. That red one Rich sold me I painted black and turned out very nice!
People have said they hit the sweet spot for it to open but I never do that. I pop the latch and then push down a little bit until the lever comes out then open. If you're really short it would be a problem on my truck though :P
