locking hubs

I'm sure this has been asked before but I'm new to the site so still learning where everything is. So my question is, can I switch my auto lock hubs on my 2005 F250 to just manual Hubs? My auto hubs are shot and wont engage and I know its not the vacuum because they are very hard to turn and when they say they are locked I can turn the drive shaft so they aren't locking. I have no problem getting out to lock them if I ever need 4x4.

They are cleanable and can be put back into service. Save you some $. The Autos are nice to have IMO.
