Lowering

I want to lower the stance of my 59 F100 long box. I don't want to lay frame or c notch it, but what have others done, that gives it a little lower look without chopping and cutting.

It depends on how much you want to drop it.You are not going to get a lot in the rear without making some modifications. If you are looking for cheap, you can try removing leafs from the springs but you are sacrificing ride, payload and maybe handling. If you want to spend some money, there are a couple of options with replacement springs. Even so, you will still have the issue of the rear axle and frame hitting.

Thanks, I in deep already, My kids don't need a college fund, right?? lol and can't half *** anything. So I want to do it correctly. I know of removing leaf's, but I relies that isn't the way I want to go. I don't want to chop anything just because this was my great grand dads truck.

Without C notching the rear frame you are really limited to the springs and hangars. Even then you are only gonna get max 3" or so without eliminating any up/down movement. If it looks like mine did, it needs 5" to 7" drop. I did an axle over spring swap and it gave me 5 1/2 but sits on the frame. Gonna do a c notch.

You could do a drop axle up front.

For the rear, have the spring eyes reversed ($25 each at the local spring shop here) and flip the forward spring hanger, you'll get about 4" of drop and still have clearance between your frame and bottom of bed. I'm using a dropped straight axle for the front and reversed eye springs for about 4". I'm building my truck in a traditional style, or I would have gone with a Jag IFS, which is what I will do on my F1 when I build it.
