Question Help distributor rotor

greetings, I need your experience, I have a ford f100 recently restored and is giving me some problems with the set-up, the biggest problem is that I have with the distributor rotor. I have a block and 292, boring 0.60, heads ECZ-G, Holley carburetor, the issue is that I bought two rotors and I have not lasted just 20 km, the engine starts to misfire fail to go and jumps ... end stops, which is not the problem since the beginning works well.
I put some pictures. Thank you

That does not look like the correct part, which could explain why it doesn't last.

Looks like it should be FD311

Thank you very much for your reply. I think my dealer is 56, and rotor is bringing both physically as seen in the image. The Fd311 rotor to distributor is?

Oh, yes, the FD-105 should be correct for 1956, if the original distributor is installed.

You should see the advance mechanism springs with the cap off, if it is the correct distributor.
If you cannot see the springs, then it is a newer or aftermarket distributor.

I can't see any springs in the picture you posted, but maybe that cable is going right over them and blocking the view.

In the picture they are not seen but does have the two springs in sight, I tried it with the old rotor and does not give me those problems.

Does the old rotor look the same? If so, I'd try another brand. If you do notice any differences at all, then maybe that is the reason.

Another thing, I looked at your previous posts and one is about using an Autolite 2100 carburetor. If you are using that carburetor and you plan to continue using that carburetor, then do not waste any more time or money on this distributor. If you plan to use the Autolite, then you must use a 1957 or newer distributor.

The Autolite 2100 or any similar modern carburetor will not produce the correct vacuum signal for your distributor and you will not have correct timing and you cannot make it work.

The old rotor is physically equal to the new. another problem I have is what you said, I've ridden a Holley carburetor and I'm not able to run the vacuum advance. It goes out on time. now I go without but the engine does not look fine

If you will continue to use that carburetor, then do not waste any more time with that distributor. Get a 1957 or newer distributor, with mechanical advance.

Ask for a distributor for a 1964 F100 292. You will also need the cap and rotor because it is different than the 1956.

That should be it. The picture is the Autolite version. A lot of the time, you get the Motorcraft version which looks a little different but works just as well. Actually, I say it works better - Motorcraft was used on many small block and big block Fords so parts are much easier to find and they are much easier to tune.
