Well, where do I start. I have a '99 F250 7.3 265k, I bought a 28' bumper pull toy hauler around Easter to tote my race bikes and have a place to sleep instead of tent. After buying it I knew my truck needed to better off pulling it so I started with small things fixed the fuel bowl for the umpteen time at the valve, noticed I had an oil leak so I bought a new ICP (leaking through top). Then the fun began.... still had an oil leak so I bought riff raffs billet plenums. I wasnt thinking but I noticed I had to take my turbo off, after all the parts arrived I read the instructions it said remove turbo, low and behold my center housing was the oil leak and noticed my EBV had blown the seal out on the flange of the turbo, my pedestal is fine.
All in all parts bought
FRX
HPX
High flow CVD fittings and Banjo fitting Riff Raff
Bellowed up pipes
EBV deleted flange (high flow outlet)
4" turbo back diamond exhaust
Hutch and Harpoon
DP Tuner
Riff Raff plenums
7+7 compressor wheel
Went alittle overboard but after being down a week and making 3 weekends of working on my truck I was tired of laying on the ground and being under the hood, to top it off my old ('59 apache caught fire while driving while my 7.3 was down) Now have to fix other truck.
Must say Im happy with everything need to add a switch pod some where thought of the 650 dash and thinking of the AIS system. Think Ive about covered most Mods.
You need to at least get a 6637 filter and go from there. Stock you are certainly not flowing enough air for the improved fueling you are seeing with the tuning you have.
I would change to the AIS at the minimum and dump the K&N filter, I would even be hesitant to use it if it was one specifically designed for diesels...
