Lost oil cap

First time I've ever lost an oil cap in my 30 year history of changing oil on my vehicles.

Can't understand how I could have missed putting the cap back on. Checked oil level during diesel fill-up (like I normally do), and noticed it was missing

Is it possible it worked its way off?
Could this be an indicator for a larger problem?
Or am I just getting senile?

Lol, hate to say it, but I think this one is down to operator error, if it was attached correctly I don't really see a way for it to work itself off?

I knew I was getting old, but does it have to happen so fast?

I guess I'm gonna start yelling at the neighbor hood kids to get off my lawn, now.

Look down near the CAC tube to intercooler connection and see if it fell in there. Wonder how I know????????
