Can't Pull codes 86 F-OneFive?
Hey everyone,
After a hiatus from finding new things to work on due to a simple gear oil top-off turning into pulling my transmission (I dropped some tubing into my fill plug) then pulling again (release bearing was sitting in my bellhousing)........and again (shifter arms weren't working right)....I've finally got it working. The Srod OD/RTS OD is a fiddly transmission to say the least.
Anywho, a quick ride around the block and a sprint on the highway has got the old gal moving again. But my carb is in desperate need of rebuild, my car smells more gassy than ever! While my trans was out I got a code reader so I can see if theres anything else that needs replacing while I have the carb off. .
Well now when I try to pull codes I get nada. My plug was pretty corroded so I stuck some sandpaper in there, and used some dielectric grease, but I get absolutely nothing. I had a friend pushing the clutch for the KOEO codes, and wasn't getting anything KOER tests either.
Besides jumping the ground, what should I be testing? Any protips about getting the EEC-IV to throw you its codes?

I'm back. Finally found time to get into the workshop.
I followed throughout test procedure and ended up at step b9 12v battery power fault isolation.
Result being a 13v.
So I either have a short to ground or an open vpwr circuit from eec power relay to processor connector.
I tested pins 37 and 57
Pin 37 was 13v
Pin 57 was 0.9 volts
I also tested pins 40 and 60 (power ground)
These both read 13v
So my belief is ive got a short to ground somewhere... Is this correct?
