Going over electrical. Questions.

I guess I have a handful of questions related to wiring/electrical. I'm at that point in my project for my 1975 highboy where I'm fixing and checking all the electrical. I've owned the truck since last fall and there seems to be no serious issues but I'm going over everything on this truck and found a few things. Appreciate the help. Love this forum. About another month until she's back on the road.

1.
What is this? Has never worked.

2.
Again.. what is this? Not sure if it's original to the truck. Found it tied there when servicing transfer case.

3.
Considering the truck has been around for 40 years and I'm sure numerous owners messing around behind the dash. It looks pretty good back there. Found a few things that I need help with though. This cable? Location is left of radio/hvac.

4.
I didn't manage to get a picture but I'll throw this out there. There's a connector with 2 green wires just outside the firewall. Near the fuse box. Maybe I'll update this thread and grab a picture tomorrow. But it's definitely original. Just sitting there. One male and female connection on the same connector.

5.
I've also had the headlights lights completely go out when I turn on my brights (this started just before I started the project). But will come back on when I turn brights off. It's only sometimes.

6.
Gauge Cluster all works except oil which from what I read is pretty rare. But no lights. I'm going to check the bulbs and printed circuit board first. Anything else I should check if that doesn't work?

Thank you very much. A highboy is a truck I've always wanted since I was like 8 years old and have learned so much about these trucks since ripping mine apart. Any advice on what I should look out for. Problematic electrical areas on the highboys please let me know. THANKS!

Not related to thread title. Where I"m at in my build. Prepping this bed for paint. The one that was original to the truck was trashed. Owner didn't say year but this looks like a 78? Not pre 77.5 since rear tanks. Cab/hood/front fenders painted. Just need to do final sand/polish etc.

0. sweet looking truck!

1. is the 4x4 engaged indicator light, the bulb may be burnt out or the connector is off the shifter or transfer case, Im not sure where it ran too

2. looks like a plug for a gas tank but Im not sure

3. is a plug for the factory radio if I remember right

Yes looks to be the 4x4 indicator light under the dash, and the corresponding plug down on the xfer case area that is not connected.

Cable with white round plug connection? Looks like the instrument cluster speedometer connection to me.

Green 2 wire connector, factory stereo power source.

Headlight issue... sounds like it is time for a new headlight and dimmer switch. Or look for a wiring issue?

No working oil gauge... could be a bad sending unit on the motor?
