I'm almost certain in all 1999 F350 dullies came with a Dana 80 rear. 1999+ SRW came with Sterling 10.5. 93-97 had Sterling 10.25 long pinion. IIRC 1993 down had a short pinion Sterling10.25.
I know for certain the rear covers are different on a SRW & DRW 2005 F350.

I would go to there website and call one of the distributors and see if they can help. If you get no place, bite the bullet and buy from a place that will stand behind the product.
The sales dude was aware of the ring gear problem. Came with a lifetime warranty too. Thanks for the help guys.
I think the problem you were having was the guy that gave you the set bought the wrong ones for a different carrier. 2 sets are available depending on what carrier your truck has depending on the stock gear ratio. The set you linked is for a carrier 4.10 and higher.
I ran into this doing an axle build & gear swap on a Jeep with Trutrac lockers.
Glad you got it worked out.
