iBallhitchcam.com - iBall Wireless Trailer Hitch Camera Anyone use one of these? Looks to be perfect for moving between trucks and attaching to camper for getting right to the leveling blocks and campsite hook ups. Didn't need a permanent install or use very often and the price seems right. Do a lot of hook ups alone and don't want to bang up the bumper.
Good find. I have been looking at something like this for my truck as it's 14 years old and does not have any of the latest gadgets. I just ordered one...
I wanted one too. Also wanted to upgrade the stereo as well. So went to best buy. Had them do the complete install. Camera is mounted at the top of the plate looking back at the ball. Plus I now have a 7" seen to look at. And new sound in the cab. Life is good.

That is exactly how me is setup. I also added an ON/ON switch one side is with reverse light the other in on anytime
UPDATE on IBALL camera system...
Well, I received my IBALL system last night and took it with me today to pick up my trailer and move it down to another storage unit. You need to charge the camera for 8 hours before you use it the first time and they recommend charging it once a month when not in use. You hold the power button on the camera for a few seconds until a red light appears to let you know the camera is on. FYI, for those getting one, the red light is in the same spot as the charging light and the red light is very small (almost pin point) and in direct sunlight it is rather difficult to see.
You place the camera where you want it and then plug in the view screen to a power port/cig lighter port and push the power button. The last time I picked up the trailer I had two of my wife's employees trying to direct me back to the hitch and they looked like a couple of guys trying to get their semaphore quals on one of my old ships. I used the camera today and I backed right up to the ball, one time and done. One of the better purchases I have made for making routine tasks much easier.
We bought a Swift Hitch -- both units are wireless and self contained, so when you are looking at say a clearance issue where you need to drive close to a fence to get your rig and trailer around, you can take the camera and viewer and find the right spot to set the camera so you can see your rig coming at it, let's say...
Oh and it works great for watching the horses in the trailer, or, yes, just hooking up to the trailer.
What is MOST incredible to me, is their customer service. We bought this set up some years ago, then didn't use it for awhile because we were always together and it was quick to just do hand signals. So wife was starting to go solo again and pulled it out and the camera, after a few years of not being used, wouldn't charge up its batteries. She contacted Swift Hitch and they said send it in -- this thing is way out of warranty, mind you. They gave her a New and Upgraded camera, no charge. We paid shipping out and they paid it back. Gives you a bit of faith in made in America companies, and it is right in there price-wise with the Chinese stuff...
The camera is std 1/4" base mount with full swivel and magnetic base, plus for a few bucks you can buy a suction cup mount; or since it is a std camera mount you can use Anything that uses that mount...
For those that haven't heard of them, check it out...
I have the Swift hitch also. Pretty happy with it except it seems to have limited range. If I am backing the trailer, I like to have the camera mounted on the trailer bumper, and it freezes, which is not handy.
This is a common complaint for all wireless options afaik.
Got the iball thur, and just hooked up the camper. I hadn't hooked this pickup up to anything as it's new to me. Wow just the same as Sar Dan, dropped the ball right on it, just a jiggle to trip the catch. Had some lines going up and down like old tv reception but I can live with that, wish I had one years ago.
I bought this one in Oct 2012, great deal then for $15 now it is $9, still working great. I used 3m foam tape to attach it to the receiver under the bumper and wired it to the Pioneer head unit. With the 5th wheel hooked up I can see all 4 tires.
