I know I am bumping an old thread, but I just noticed something.
RockAuto SM63F is $63.59 (80-83)plus shipping.
SM66F $32.79 (84-91)plus shipping.
LMC Truck 470786 $109.95 (80-83) plus shipping.
470816 $49.95 (84-91) plus shipping.
So, if you are ordering other stuff from LMC truck anyway, and you have a 1984 or newer, it would not be bad ordering the part from them. Those of use with older trucks...will go with RockAuto!
why would both sites show 84-86 if the part is different? could it be that they are backwards compatible and E5 is an upgrade of the E4? Not disagreeing, just trying to pick your brain! LOL.
What sites are you talking about, Offio? Are they NOS switches, or aftermarket?
Yeah, Bill's catalog shows 1984 as having its very own but that'd be an OEM part from the factory, perhaps the aftermarket has found a way to incorporate some changes in the design and come up with something that applies to more years.

Was talking about Rockauto and LMC. I assume aftermarket reproductions.
That is kind of what I was driving at...probably wasn't as clear as I was trying to be. (Work has been brutal this week, straight 14 hour days make me a zombie type dude! lol)
