Throttle pedal slop

2006 F350 6.0
Fixed position pedal.
My first vehicle with fly by wire.
I have considerable movement in the pedal before the engine reacts. Guessing a good 1/2 inch. Feels longer by the foot.

Is this normal on these trucks?
Is there a repair, adjustment or just replace?

Normal condition. If you have a scanner to display PIDs you can see this.

Yup, I tracked it via EA.
This falls under the "what were they thinking?" category.
It annoys the me to no end because it is just wrong but I suppose I will get used to it.
