C6 Pump Leak - Bushing Damage
I recently muscled through a rebuild and had a running C6 transmission for a couple of months. About a few weeks ago, sprouted a leak at the bell housing.
When I took the transmission out, I found that the pump bushing had moved forward and had irregular wear. What could cause a brand new bushing to move forward. I can only imagine that there may have been misalignment between the torque converter and the bushing?
I'd like to put a new one in, but I'm worried it'll happen again. How do I make sure the problem will go away?
What are the pump bore dimensions where the bushing seats? I'm worried it was damaged (even though it looks good).
What is the torque converter shaft dimension?
