My 42 pin is connecting fine (that I'm aware of) but it will not disconnect.
I'm not sure on cutting the bolt head and trying to repair, or simply ordering a new blank and rewiring each end at the cost of an hour or two of my time.
I've recently been looking at this 42 pin connector on my 2010 E350SD. I was hoping to buy the terminals and insert my own wires into two of the unused pins on the harness side (to rear of vehicle) of the connector, to connect with two existing circuits that are present on the vehicle side of the connector, but I discovered that on the harness side there are no holes in the back of the connector where the pins are unused. Does anyone know if these are just blocked with a thin plastic, like a 'knockout' of some sort?
The harness has part number 9C24-144406-AE on it clearly marked, but that doesn't come up anywhere in a Ford parts search.
