Alright guys.. I have a 97 4 door long bed with a e4od. I just bought it about a week ago, it's been sitting for years. I got it running, it needed a starter and had a problem with the fuel filter heater. It has 300,000 miles, could use injectors but they're working fine. It has new glowplugs but they don't work and I think it's the relay but it's not winter so I haven't been having problems starting it. Here's my problem and it started today, when you turn the truck off it will not start on its own, you can crank it as long as you want it doesn't even barley think about starting. Tach moves, oil pressure gauge goes up, I unplugged the icp sensor and it doesn't make a difference. I hate starting fluid that **** kills but that's the only way it starts now if you spray quite a bit it has trouble starting and when it starts sounds and runs perfect as long as you want.. No missing no rough idle just as smooth and as perfect as can be. You can drive it for an hour and turn it off and try to turn it back on immediately and it won't.. I'm leaning toward the ipr as the problem but never messed with one so don't really know how to go about it.. What do y'all think?

 

Sounds like Ipr O rings, the ipr hardley go bad.
