1985 BII Question

1985 BII Question

I thought the compressor had gone out but when I jumped it at the low pressure side it kicks in just fine. It has freon, o-rings leak but still has freon (checked that and added some). What else should I check?
Any Ideas?

Sounds like it could be a bad pressure switch.
