Upper height sensor mount broke

98 Expedition

The upper ball stud for the height sensor broke. Is there a was to replace it? To me it seems like the bracket that holds the ball stud is pressed/welded to the upper control arm mount ,but i could be mistaken.

Replace the upper control arm or measure the size ball stud you need, get it, and drill a hole to mount a new one.

So the control arm has to be removed in order to get that bracket off?

At the very least, you will have to remove the bolt through the one side.
