E4OD Tranmssion Replacement brand choices

I need to replace my E4OD Transmission. It's in a 97 F350 Supercrew 7.3 Diesel with single Car hauler bed. I see many choices out there. ANy preferences on brands? I found some choices below from this forum and on line.

Monster
ATS
BD Power
Racer X
BTS

After extensive internet search i have narrowed it down to BTS or John Wood. I need to call them for pricing and timeline. These transmissions aren't cheap but since I use it for hauling I want to do it right the first time.

I'm sure you'll be fine with either of those. BTS will cost ya about $5000.00. I called them about 6 mos ago and they were about 3 months back logged. I ended up building it myself and had a great time doing it.

A clean rust-free OBS 7.3 is a $8000-$10,000 truck in the Northeast. I can pick up good 7.3 SuperDuties cheaper than OBS 7.3s.

BTS has it going on for sure. Chick on the phone said he builds one trans a day...$5000.00 a day for the next 3 months!

I can't give you long term results, but these folks worked with me to build a Level 3 enforcer with my stock high stall converter & upgraded many internals to 95-up for about thirty-five hundred. They have many kits for DIY & they ship complete units.

I can't have my truck down for 3 months so i may have to explore other options you guys mentioned as well.

I won't be buying parts from ATS. New discovery yesterday. I bought a trans cooler and T stat last week and discovered they repackaged Derale product and marked it up 100%. I promptly returned and bought the Derale for less.

My build was 2 weeks Feb, last year. I dropped off & picked up. Don't know if that's an option for you.

PATC talks about a hot-shot & ambulance co's that uses their builds somewhere on their site.

They started as a straight rebuilder & branched out to high performance later on. They're not just hot rod parts shipper.

A lot for sure! Don't have an accurate total, but I think I could have just about bought a BTS.

But doing it myself allowed me to add all the upgraded hard parts. I'm hoping that it's over built for sure.

Quite true, and while BTS definitely has the upgraded internals and top notch frictions and steels, I doubt they use billet shafts.
