I just had the Local Ford dealer perform an oil change. I noticed the motor running a tad different almost right away but put it off thinking it was something else going on. well i get several miles down the road and anytime i accelerate there is a noticeable vibration and little power. I also noticed that both my water temp and EOT were above 200*. I called the dealer and of course the service department had gone home for the day. I will be calling first thing tomorrow morning.
anyone else experience this issue? my drive from work to the dealer is well over 20 miles and at 60-65 my water never got above 189 and the EOT never got above 195. so after oil change water temp got to 205 and EOT was at 215 at the max. This is with no load going 55 mph on the hwy.
I would really appreciate some feedback. I have a Ford Premium warranty on the truck as well and this is why I decided to have them do the oil change. they have done the previous oil change as well with no issues.
I would think they know how the filter and Cap goes in, and not to destroy the Stan pipe , your in a catch 22 , if you open up the oil filter and the stand pipe is broke or pieces down at the bottom how do you justify you or them ?
Started the truck this morning, ICP on my SCII shows 1150 on cold start and is gradually dropping. where should this be? would this indicate anything wrong.
cold soak on the temps on startup WT was 67* EOT was 63.5*
well i took the mechanic on the test drive. He agreed there seems to be some sort of vibration that is there, he is looking for some sort of tool that will help pinpoint this. Also while on our drive the EOT went above 200* while the WT never went above 180*. So the oil cooler is being replaced tomorrow, should have the truck back on friday. I also asked for them to inspect the stand pipes and dummy plugs while they are in there.
The vibration occurs while in park as well when you rev the motor. you can also feel it thru the steering wheel while on the throttle. you let off and it goes away.

Have them replace the STC fitting off the HPOP if it hasn't already been done, and that kit comes with a new (updated) SS IPR screen -- make sure they install that too...
I will for sure mention it. being this is covered under warranty i may have to pay for that out of pocket. Any idea what that would run for just the parts?

It is probably too late - sorry I missed your follow up Q, but the kit is around $50...
got the truck back from Ford. Deltas are within a few degrees of each other now, they also replaced the standpipes which took care of the vibration at my request. they were showing signs of wear. Very happy now and i am all ready for the summer worth of towing the rv for our many camping trips.
