Plug repacement....

Just took out the po's denso plugs and installed Motorcraft. No idea of the miles on the old plugs (2011 truck has 74,000) but all were burning a bit black and gapped about 35. New ones gapped at 28. This eliminated the rough idle and seems to run better overall. Hardest part of the job was unplugging the coils.

Also installed led signal lights in the mirror reflectors.

Been a good all around since we took the Lightning out for a good drive today also.

Questions...were the plugs pre-gapped to .28 or did you gap them? Where'd you pick them up?

Bought them at Auto Zone....just under $40 for the 6 of them. These were pre-gapped at 32.....

I broke a wire harness plug when checking spark plugs. I am hesitant to change spark plugs. I will probably buy some new pigtails. It is a horrible design IMO.
