Spark plugs

When I ordered my EBC for the front on my truck I looked up plugs for the 6.2 as well on summit, gave me a listing for motorcraft # SP548, shipping was going to be awhile out. So I went ahead and got them through Rock, now in hand and rechecking everywhere else they all recommend SP526. I am assuming they are a single platinum fine wire, and that will end up having to be sent back correct?
Does anyone know if motorcraft has a iridium plug that is compatible with the 6.2? I am at 37k want to change them out and never seize before they become a problem, preventative maintenance on it.

Thank you,
Curtis

I just changed my plugs at 100k and they came out fairly easy and all looked almost new. I would wait.

At 40k I like hearing that. Do you live in a place where they salt the roads?

on my 2014 i had 3 dead plugs, 3 firing at 20% efficiency, 5 at 30% 4 at 20% and one at 100%. this was at 93,000 miles.
the bad plugs let unburnt gas into the cats which burned the cats out.
the truck can feel like it runs good, but still have misfire events.
use a good scan tool and see if there are any misfires detected.
at 93,000 miles mine showed 18,000 + misfires.

Right in the middle of changing mine... 103k on the odometer. I'm guessing they've been done at least once (someone else boogered up one of the red clips before me ). The plugs themselves look great. The resistor pills in the boots... not so much. All so far have been heavily corroded, pretty much had to lever them loose so I could replace them.

Well at 38k I changed mine, They all came out pretty well. 2 or 3 of the 16 were platinum tip eroded away gap huge, but other than that job went very well I would have left both wheel wells in except cyl#8 bottom I couldn't get socket angle right to get on the plug through the opening. passenger socket, swivel, and a 1' extension on the lowers and never seize on threads dielectric grease on boots .
I wanted iridium plugs, sent the motorcrafts back and ended up with auto lite, I have always been a ford gets ford, gm gets gm, but according to most auto lite makes motorcraft except the motorcraft came from Japan, auto lite out of Mexico, as long as it passed QC I am fine with it. 2 tanks so far since, 16.1 and 15.98mpg hand calculated I was averaging 14-15 before.
