Will a Ford T18 manual 4 speed transmission fit a 1968 F100 with a 240 cid six?

Of course it will. The 240/300 uses the small block Ford V-8 pattern bell housing.
Do you have a 3 speed now?

Yes, I have a 3 speed on the column but I'm considering converting to a floor shift and thought a 4 speed would also be a nice addition. I've always liked the "granny gear" and it looks like this is the ticket.

previous owner put an np435 in place of a 3.03 in my 67 (was an i6 at the time). kept the flywheel clutch bell. cut the floor and changed the driveshaft.

the hole in the floor has a line to follow. the tunnel cover from a donor truck up to 79 will fit

I personally wouldn't put an A/T behind a 240. Lose too much power through the torque converter. But, to aswer your question it would be a 164 tooth.

65/72 and beyond...E100/300,F100/350/p350/500 with C/M or C4 240 AND 300 l/d...part number C5TZ6375T....164 tooth ring gear with (4) tourque convertor mounting hole pattern 11 7/16".
