Trans Kick Down
Can anyone tell me what causes the transmission to kick down a gear?
Or, in my case, not to kick down?
E40D with a shift kit (not sure who's) when you rest the go pedal flat on the floor, it just accelerates, it doesn't downshift.
Is there a connection on the injector pump I am missing? I know a TH400 has a cable on the carb, but not sure how the electrical needs to be connected on this trans/engine.

So that would tell me the TPS is pooched. is there anything else that this sensor controls?
can you tell me how to test it or even what it looks like? I haven't seen the truck in a while, just getting info from a buddy.
