Transmission

Where is the best place to purchase a R 110 W transmission
goes in a 2006 F250, 6.0 Diesel, 4 WD? is there a better or cheaper (GOOD) replacement?

I don't know the best place, but you should be looking for a 5R110W. That's the name of the transmission.

If you want to replace it with a different type of transmission, that will take a lot of fabrication work, custom wiring, and a custom computer. Expect to pay many, many times what a 5R110W would cost.

I hope I am in the right forum. I am not much of a mechanic, grew up with wrench throwers if things did not go right, so lost any desire to be a mechanic.
