Traction Control Off

The other day, I parked off the side off the road. It rained hard the night before and my back tires were in some red clay. When I went to pull out, traction control wouldn't allow my tires to spin enough to get traction. It seemed as if the ABS was working against me. When I deactivated the traction control, it would still activate when it detected ecessive spin. I got out without using 4x4. It would have been easier if the truck would have allowed me to spin the wheels as I saw fit. I guess I could have used the e locker too. Didn't even think of that.

I'm reading this post and it's making me think that's the noise I'm hearing every time I'm taking a left hand turn , thought my oversized tires rubbing I'll have to examine the situation. I can make it happen every time that's why I thought it's the tire rubbing but, when I look for any sign of damage to the fender or tire it's never found. I'm taking the left at about 30mph it's a Fork Road and the sound is on the right side I think it's tough to tell but it's definitely the front? Is that how the stabilization program would work? Is there any way to permanently turn it off I find it very intrusive when I'm trying to plow and I mean permanently turned it off nothing worse than having the tires slow down when I'm trying to push through a snowbank, and there's no way I'm plowing in 4 Low in the size of those lots take care

On my 13 mustang and on my former 2011 F350 you have to hold the traction control button with foot on the brake for over 4 seconds to get that system completely off. Haven't tried it on my new F150 yet.
Last year was in some ugly prairie gumbo which is like sticky grease. The truck would go no where in 4 WD until I shut it off. Its' probably a great system for highway runs on icy roads though.
