yes, Ford started putting it in some of the late 2008 F-150's...and in 2009 it was phased in mostly across the board.
Have you tried spinning the tires on dirt? I remember back in 2009 many people got p'ssed off at Ford that they couldn't turn off the Traction Control while in 4x4 and deliberately doing fun stuff offroad
Pretty sure it is law that everything has to have it by now, aside from the bigger commercial trucks of course. Damn thing would nearly kill you in my Bullitt when it would cut power when you were sliding half way through a corner. I guess if you have no idea how to control a vehicle it is great, otherwise it is completely counter intuitive. I try and remember to shut it off in my F150 whenever in 4wd or you'll never accelerate on snow or ice.
This might help some for those wishing to disable the system. I haven't found mine that invasive yet so I leave it on. Will see how it does in the snow months. It has come along way since the TC system in the SN95 mustangs (junk)
Does anyone know how to take off traction control I push and hold the button like manual days till light stays on solid but soon as tires spin a little bit tv kicks in a d shakes the truck like mad and it's a **** off lol so if someone could help
Not a fan of traction control or abs, but combined with RSC AND not easy and definitive off switch is a major annoyance to me. To the point where I would like to hardwire a switch to cut power to the system (if it were only that simple still).

Just happens I had the manual out to check that very thing. It's fuse #36 for the ABS, etc. I'm going to see how hard it is to wire a switch into it so I don't have to pull the fuse each time I go to the strip. Couple weeks ago I had a new tune & was going to try for a low ET, it launched, spun all 4, & TC kicked in even though I always hold it in for the supposed total shutoff.
