So if you've seen my previous posts you know I have a 2015 2.7 Twin Turbo Ecoboost and I want to do some sort of exhaust mod. Make it sound mean but not like a ricer XD So my question is, does anyone know of a good exhaust system?
I've seen videos of straigt piped ecoboosts and they sound good but I figured a straight pipe might make the truck throw codes, also if its too loud and too ricey when gunning it i wouldn't want to do that lol.
Subscribed just for the knowledge, but can't bring myself to ditch brand new equipment. Not to mention wind up with a 6-cylinder sound. But, I'll read the mail.

I've got a 5.0 and would like to know a good system for it
No aftermarket system will match the quality of the OEM one. I had a Banks Monster Exhaust on my V10. After a couple months I was sorry I did it. The drone in the cab was bad, it became just plain noisy after the muffler wore in, and a weld (actually the surrounding metal, the weld itself held) on the stainless eventually broke. Banks sent a repair piece but I was fed up by then.
I don't see any way to make the EB sound deep or aggressive due to the firing order. If it could sound like a boxer (flat) 6 Porsche or even the boxer 4 in the WRX, that would be awesome. It won't ever sound like a V8 (except in the "sound system enhanced" Lariat and up models), or an inline 6.
Now, I wouldn't mind more turbo whistle and better performance. I just don't want to hear that V6 exhaust note.
Yeah i understand that, but I personally don't care about cabin drone, mainly because i drove a 05 Highlander before this truck and it sounded like it was gonna explode inside and was so loud the radio had to be at like 50 during acceleration and when driving down the highway lol. Also had a f350 with a huge exhaust system that my buddy had to sell due to the housing development complaining about the sound, but it doesn't bother me.
I just put on the Gibson Dual sport and am very happy with it on my 5.0 It has a nice very deep sound and a good sound when you are on the gas. At cruising it is surprisingly quiet. Very Happy with it. I used the stainless steel version. System is priced way less than most of the others. It installed very easily. I have always been a bid fan of Flowmaster 40's, I now like this Gibson, my first one.
