I have a 2011 f250 with the 6.2l that almost has 100k miles.
I'm going to do some fluid changes and don't know what type of coolant came in these from the factory. I'm just doing a simple radiator drain and refill.
Verify this in your owners manual. The chart says orange. The VC3DILB is the pre-mixed. Easier to use if you dont want to do the mixing. Never put tap water into a cooling system, only distilled if you buy the concentrate.

I changed the oil cooler on my '11 6.2 today and I swear what came out was pink. However the degas bottle appears goldish/orange-ish. WTH is pink anyway? I thought it was just some special Euro stuff.....

Anyway, 2011 should just get G05, no??
Nope a 2011 was filled with Motorcraft Orange, also known and available as Dexcool.

Man, thanks for setting me straight. I always thought DexCool was exclusively GM, I see now I was very wrong. I should have known this! Glad I asked and learned something
I stumbled upon another thread in '09-14 F150 where Hog and others also had good input. Other owners also said their factory fill appeared pink, so I'm gonna ASSume at least for a while the factory was using "DexCool" that was simply pink in color....
I just need to top off my system today as I didn't have the hoses clamped extremely well during the oil cooler swap and lost more than I should have, so I'll top off with DexCool.....I wonder what color pink and orange makes? Probably just a weird brown
It is not uncommon for the orange coolant to turn pinkish. It does not mean it is bad or anything. If you plan on changing the coolant, you will have to buy DEX Cool or similar aftermarket brands as Ford no long stocks the Orange coolant. The new yellow, not the older gold coolant, is recommended.

Thank you. And yeah, I found that info, too -- apparently there's a new "yellow" which came out circa '17 which also supersedes the '11-16 orange, but is not compatible with the ~'03-10 gold. Problem is a lot of people referred to the gold as "yellow" so confusion from now until the end of time is inevitable.
Ya know I coulda just read my degas bottle but even so my feeble mind would not have equated "orange" with actual DexCool as I thought that was 100% GM.
Thanks again to Hog and FTE for learnin' me sumting. I've been so dense on this I should probably apply for a job on the Ford Engineering team.
You can pretty much use any coolant that is OAT and ELC. Stay away from any coolant that says it will mix with any color coolant. Many will have the notation that they meet Ford's specs.
OAT is an acronym for Organic Acid (Additive) Technology which describes the type of materials responsible for the corrosion protection offered by a coolant of this type
ELC - Extended Life Coolant
