Started cleaning the intake I had then a buddy of mine texted me wondering what intake I was using so I told him and sent him picture. Turns out I have a spread bore intake and the carbs for that are super expensive so I decided that I am going to buy an Edelbrock performer aluminum intake for a square bore dual plane. Trying to decide if I want to just say screw it and buy heads which will put the engine build in next spring\summer before I can have it finished.

He's right that is a great option, and you can still get a new intake down the road if you want

Update on carb info. So as of right now after making a discussion on the intake in the bullnose part of the forum I am going to try and see weather or not the carb spacer will work otherwise I will have to get a new intake. The reason for this is if I buy an adapter then it raises the carb so high that the kick down rod will bind.
I am hoping to order the carb on pay day but funds are going to get even tighter now so this build may come to a slow down again. Hopefully I can get the engine moved to my storage unit soon since it is in the dining room right now.
