Cooling system

I filled my radiator coolant today, checked it after a couple hours to find that it was back to being bone dry. I've had this problem for a few days now along with loss of power when accelerating and rough idling when I first start it. It's a 92 F250, 5.8 L with 247,000 miles. I'm thinking it could be a blown head gasket along with other cooling components...any other opinions?

Sounds like a blown head gasket, compression test the cylinders, and check the pressure on the cooling system.

^ He's got the right idea. You can rent a cooling system pressure tester and a compression gauge at any auto parts store if you want to do it yourself.
