The first picture in this thread finally gave me an acceptable wheel option for my new XLT Chrome package purchase. These Lariat wheels were take-offs from a jacked-up crew cab that was placed at the dealership entrance, so I just had them installed in place of the chrome-plated wheels as part of the negotiation...
Weight update...finally got to the scales yesterday.
Decked System - 220lbs
Cab steps and gear - 210lbs
Canopy - 190lbs
New scaled weight (again with full tank, driver (me) on a local truck scale).
Front - 3,200lbs (+40lbs)
Rear - 2,880lbs (+580lbs)
Total - 6,080 (+620lbs)
I basically added the weight back into the truck that Ford took out my moving to an AL body. Honestly, the ride is a little too squishy for me now. It isn't too bad, but a little to much bounce and side-to-side sway during city driving. I increased the tire pressure to 40psi and that helped a bit. I'm expecting to go with a heavier duty tires when the time comes for new rubber and I'll probably upgrade the shocks then too.
Other than 10-11mpg in stop and go city driving, the EB doesn't care about the extra weight (no surprise). I can still break the rear tires without even trying and the truck moves out like stink when I get into the throttle. I was thinking about getting the smaller rear diff...glad I went with the 3.55!
My Father's Day present...a Console Vault for the bottom seat of the split bench. It's very nice; a one piece unit that just drops right in and secures with four self-tapping screws. The only concern I had was if I could still insert the key fob into the RFID reader at the back of the storage. It's a very tight fit, but I got a key in there.
The picture is of the fully installed box. Note the screw mounts are threaded in the box, so they stick out a bit when complete. It cuts a good half inch off each side; that kinda sucks. My iPad is shown (in a case) for reference. There's plenty of room in there for a bunch of small items, but longer items can't be very thick (maybe 4-5" max) since they'll interfere with the locking mechanism.
Wasn't planning to re-badge the truck after taking most of it off, but got inspired to try something. Plasti-dipping your trim or other truck parts was pretty popular on a Toyota Tacoma forum I lurked on recently. I'm not a big football fan, but the rest of the family is so this seemed like something fun try out.
Got everything off Amazon of course, including the Plasti-dip spray. Lots of videos on Youtube show how to apply. It's actually very easy; didn't have any problem pulling the overspray off the truck paint.
Umm...Sorry, nice truck. But that just doesn't work aesthetically.
Choice of teams notwithstanding, I've given up the the NFL after all of this political BS they are allowing to go on. No further comment on that, but the NFL gets nothing from me anymore.
i see no one seems to like the over the window shades (what ever their called) lets you crack the windows in rain or setting in high temps. Mine are black to match the mirrors.
wish i had the black door handles.

I'm with you on this one. I used to watch football all the time, but at some point (a few years ago now), all the hype went totally over the top for me, and now I use that time for other pursuits.
I know what you mean. The time outs for replays and challenges, the constant rule changes and all the squabbling about them. Drives me nuts, but some folks love it.
Gave up on NASCAR for the same reason. Restictor plates, templates, etc.
I also have a Silver Ingot truck.. when I checked the value of a used 2015 F150 with Silver Ingot paint, it subtracted $110 off the trade-in value due to lack of demand.
I put the shell on mine and it's looking fantastic. Can't wait for the winter to come, Big Bear, here I come. Will camp out in the snow sleeping in the back.

I usually put vent shades on my trucks but family health issues have kept me busy from doing it this summer. . I like them for the reasons you stated and they do provide shade from the sun at certain angles when driving. I usually paint the inside to prevent the sun shining through.
