I have noticed on my 2016 Expedition that the center alignment line projected by the camera when backing up does not align with the center of the hitch itself. I have not looked to see if the camera can be shifted left or right, but had just assumed it was centered by the factory on the vehicle. I also presume the hitch is centered on the vehicle, but I haven't looked. I just assumed the alignment marker could be digitally shifted, but I can't find the setting.
Do others have any problems with their backup alignment marker?
Either way, if I move the camera it will shift the position of the hitch in the video image. The line will stay where it is now on the screen and the new combination would be inline.
It's in the menus someplace. If you go into the system menus on the center panel, you should be able to get to the backup camera page. There you can turn them off, have them stay straight all the time or curve to indicate where you're headed when backing up in a turn. I'll try to remember to look at mine to get the specifics of where that stuff is located. But your manual should give you a concise way to do it.

My apologies to everyone! I thought I'd turned it off on mine. Was in it today and found you can't turn it off. And, yes, mine is slightly off as well! I sure thought it that was one of the first things I did when I got mine was turn that off. Sorry to have you guys chasing your tails!
