On the road again

Just got my 54 ford on the road Sunday for the first time in 35 years. It has the original 239 in it with 3 on the tree. I know after sitting that long it will take awhile to get issues that arise fixed. The question I have know is after driving and parking overnight I could see I had a small gas leak that was coming from the bottom of accelerator pump piston rod that if I pump the accelerator a few times I get a few drips. The car was a new one but sat inside covered for about 5 years or so. When I was working on it I took apart and clean and changed the accelerator pump piston because I had hesitation when I first gave it gas. It runs strong no hesitation but was going to see what might be causing a leak in this area.

There is supposed to be a felt seal on the rod, with a thin metal backer. Are they there? Your float level may be high too, it's not easy for gas to get up that high.
