Hello, what type of performance related upgrades work well with this motor? Nothing radical but anyone have a good cai exhaust combo that served them well?

Best bang for your buck is a tuner, although you will likely have warranty coverage issues if you have a motor problem and Ford blames the tuner.

I'll eventually go with a Borla "S-Type" exhaust, (Corsa makes a good exhaust also). Beyond that, there's alot of aftermarket mods for the 5.0L.

If I was spending your money I'd put on a supercharger if I'm spending mine and don't care about warranty a tune as mentioned will do the most to put you back in your seat.....cai as far as I'm concerned is probably biggest waste of money for "improvement" you can do unless the improvement is to look cool when the hood is up which isn't a bad thing

I've seriously considered the whipple supercharger, as far as intakes, I've heard the "Boss 302" system will help wake it up (haven't personally done any research, so not sure). On the 2011 F150 I had (6.2l) I had an AFE CAI, but I had a larger throttle body and a throttle body spacer and a Jet performance MAF Sensor, added everything at the same time, so not sure which had the most advantage, but that truck would get some yonder!

a Tune and CAI will wake up the truck and change the shift points and firmness
but its the tune that does this,a cai alone is a waste of money

a super charger like a whipple is a big investment and will smoke your tires
at will even at hwy speeds...I have one on my Mustang, its def a blast, made 650
to the wheels on the dyno

Want to do an exhaust and I have narrowed down to flow master. I really am just looking for sound could really care less about performance gains or mpg, if the cone they come. Could I simply add a super series 10 and leave my factory tubing as it would save me about 600.
